bluetooth remains connected in car so that the radio doesn't work

When I got into my car (after IOS10 upgrade on my 6s), my car's Bluetooth (UConnect) remained on and wouldn't let my radio play until I went into my phone and disconnected my Bluetooth. Any ideas? I like using hand free but it would be a hassle to have to connect bluetooth every time I answer the phone
